TC-V prescale setting

Question

Question

How should I set the TC-V prescale setting when displaying the conveyor speed with a feed roller diameter of 50 mm?
Obtain a rotation signal from a 30P / R encoder.
The speed is about 0.5 to 5 m / min, and up to one digit after the decimal point is displayed.

For TC-V series tachometer / speedometer, for prescale 1 (factory setting)
The display is 60 at an input frequency of 1 Hz.
From here, calculate and set the prescale value according to the specifications of the device.

Prescale value when the rotation signal is 1P / R

・ Feed roller circumference: 0.05m x 3.1416 = 0.15708m

・ Prescale setting: SCL.1 = 15708 SCL.2 = -5

Since the number of encoder pulses is 30P / R, multiply by 1/30 = 0.03333.
0.15708 × 0.03333 = 0.0025355 …

Multiply this by 10 to display up to one decimal place.
0.0052355 × 10 = 0.052355

The final prescale setting is

Prescale setting: SCL.1 = 52355 SCL.2 = -6

In the decimal point setting, press “2” to set the 0.0 display.
